Registering a NickName

 Registering your nickname allows you to gain access to having your own channel, but also provides protection from allowing other users form using your nickname.  It is like a reservation system, so no one has to wonder who you are. 

To register your nickname you need to do the following.  

(Note, make sure you always type the / before the commands otherwise the output might be visible in the chartroom you are typing in)

You will need to provide the following information in this order.  A Password, which can not be your nickname, and an e-mail address

Enter them by typing the following:

/AstroServ Register password email address

For example if you wanted to register your nickname with the password of MyL33tPass and e-mail of This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it you would type:

/AstroServ Register  MyL33tPass This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

If successful you should receive a message similar to  --AstroServ--: Nickname YourNickHere registered under your account:
