Registering your nickname allows you to gain access to having your own channel, but also provides protection from allowing other users form using your nickname.  It is like a reservation system, so no one has to wonder who you are. 

To register your nickname you need to do the following.  

(Note, make sure you always type the / before the commands otherwise the output might be visible in the chartroom you are typing in)

You will need to provide the following information in this order.  A Password, which can not be your nickname, and an e-mail address

Enter them by typing the following:

/AstroServ Register password email address

For example if you wanted to register your nickname with the password of MyL33tPass and e-mail of l33t@hotmail.com you would type:

/AstroServ Register  MyL33tPass l33t@hotmail.com

If successful you should receive a message similar to  --AstroServ--: Nickname YourNickHere registered under your account: 

• Local Client

  • You can use a program such as mIRC or xChat to connect to the network
  • Just tell the program to connect to irc.lunagalay.net using port 6667

• Flash Chat

  • LunaGalaxy also provides a flash chat option, which allows you to chat on the network with just a click of a button
  • Click here for the flash chat.

• Mibbit

  • Mibbit is a free option that allows you to connect to multiple networks as well as LunaGalaxy from any web browser
  • Simply select LunaGalaxy format he drop down list and hit connect.
