LunaGalaxy is a rebranding of the DevilsFreek Irc network.  In mid-to late 2009, the rebranding started, with changing the names and theme of the network's services to match the interests and theme of Space and moons.  Thus Luna Galaxy is born.

History

The story of DevilsFreek starts with two separate Irc networks:

DamDevil

DamDevil, as a figuratively named network started on a personal computer of a close friend of mine in early 1999 by late 2000 we got a shell and a name witch was Liquidacid we ran soly as Liquidacid up till May of 2004 when the owner of Damdevil bought the domain and was given a shell from a really close friend, the network at the time was probably 20 users most close friends of the main server owners. we steadily grew till the summer of 2005 when Liquidacid and Damdevil split up over an augment and Damdevil went off on its own later to take control of many smaller networks and reached a user base of around 500 during the week and about 1,000 on the weekends, but that life wasn’t quite what the owner of damdevil wanted so he split from the network he created and left control of it to a Co-network admin and started over again.with about 30 of his closest friends and slowly grew once again to about 90 daily users then the spring of 2006 he killed the network and put his time to various other things, so Damdevil grew stagnant and was dead till late fall of 2007 where he placed all his time in resurrecting his network.

FreekNet

FreekNet started about a year ago(2006), as a learning tool for Freekie and Danny to learn a bit about IRCD software, and services. Soon, we invited a few more people to help them learn and mostly to help us learn more about everything. After a while, we had a pretty nice little network of friends together and they put up with random breaking of things, usually lead by Freekie trying to push stuff to the breaking point. FreekNet was always a nice little community for a good chat.

DevilsFreek

On December 4th, 2007 DevilsFreek was born. By bringing together the two networks, we are able to create a more stable and larger community to our users. We look forward to the future as it looks very bright.
